A few smart add-ons transform the Quest experience. Here's what's actually worth buying.

Comfort head straps

The single best upgrade. The stock soft strap is fine but a rigid 'halo' strap with a back dial distributes weight better and is far more comfortable for long sessions. Many include a built-in battery for extra play time and counterweight balance.

Facial interfaces and covers

For fitness or shared use, a washable silicone cover keeps sweat off the foam and is easy to wipe down. Glasses wearers can add spacers or prescription lens inserts for a clearer, more comfortable fit.

Power and storage

A battery pack strap or a long USB-C cable solves the two-hour battery limit. A hard carrying case protects the headset and controllers if you travel or store it away between sessions.

Controller protection

Silicone controller grips with lanyards prevent the flying-controller-into-the-TV disaster during energetic games. Cheap insurance for an expensive screen.
